Mr. Britt is a North Carolina native that grew up in the Washington Metropolitan area since the age of 6. After High School, he attended North Carolina Central University where he majored in and received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. After graduation, Mr. Britt began his career in private industry. While employed in private industry, Mr. Britt married his wife of 39 years, Ms. Carrie Younger Britt. He next joined the U.S. Navy as a Commissioned Officer. While in the Navy, he and his wife welcomed the birth of their two sons, Rodney Jr. and Robert. After 5 years, he left active duty but remained in the active reserves and continued his work career as an auditor in the Federal Government. He is now retired from the Navy (2000) and Government (2014). Mr. Britt’s personal interests over the years have included basketball and baseball (playing and officiating); playing golf; and engaging in part-time business work in taxation, accounting, and property title work, which he continues to do in retirement.
In 2018, Mr. Britt was diagnosed with Stage 1 Prostate Cancer. He chose surgical treatment. Since his surgery he remains cancer free. He Praises God for this blessing.

Former Mid-Atlantic District Director for T.Y. Lin International and MdTA Executive Secretary Ronald L. Freeland spent more than two decades in public service, much of it with Maryland transportation-related agencies. Mr. Ronald Freeland is known as one of Maryland's most accomplished transportation professionals. His expertise include, but are not limited to: being a first-class manager, financial expert and transportation innovator. Mr. Freeland played an integral role over three decades in shaping Maryland's transportation network. From 1982 to 1991, Freeland was an MdTA board member and was appointed in 1995 to head the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. He moved over to run the Maryland Transit Administration in 1997 and remained there until 2001. From 2001 until his February 2007 appointment to head the MdTA, Freeland held executive management positions with Parsons Corporation and Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., specializing in transportation projects.
Deputy Transportation Secretary Harold M. Bartlett will serve as acting MdTA executive secretary while a search is conducted for a permanent agency head.

With over 30 consecutive years in Christian Ministry, Dr. King has been recognized around the world for her mission work in disaster preparedness, crisis management, suicide prevention and domestic violence. She has a very impressive military record and continues to serve as a navy veteran. Dr. King’s exceptional educational background includes: a Doctorate and Master’s of Divinity Degrees from Wesley Theological Seminary, Master of Education Degree specializing in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel – The Military College of South Carolina and Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in English and Spanish from the University of South Carolina. In addition, she has earned many Certifications in Mediation, Clinical Pastoral Education, and Coaching along with Professional Endorsements as a Commission Military Chaplain, Hospital Chaplain, Pastoral Counselor, Hospice Chaplain, Veteran’s Administration Hospital Chaplain. Dr. King’s professional expertise lends itself to a vast spectrum of positions ranging from a teacher to director of programs.
